What does an ISQ number mean?

ISQ (Implant Stability Quotient) is a measurable value that reflects how stable an implant is.

To make it easier to understand, we use a traffic light system:

🔴 Red (<60)  Low stability. Wait and reassess.
🟡 Yellow (60–69)  Borderline stability. Monitor and plan carefully.
🟢 Green (≥70)  High stability. Proceed with confidence.

This system helps you explain treatment decisions clearly to your patients.

Dr. Aly Virani uses the traffic lights system as a guide

Dr. Ali Virani, clinician and expert in dental implants and full mouth rehabilitation at North Cardiff Dental & Implants, shares how ISQ has transformed his implant workflow.

In his webinar, he explores why every dentist should integrate ISQ into implant treatments - from ensuring predictable outcomes and guiding implant loading protocols, to making progressive loading simpler and safer.

Intuitive guidance with Osstell Beacon

The Osstell Beacon provides precise ISQ measurements with a simple traffic-light indication - red, yellow, or green. This clear visual feedback gives clinicians immediate guidance on implant stability and the next steps in treatment.

By turning complex data into an easy-to-read signal, the Beacon helps clinicians make confident decisions and explain them clearly to patients.
