In the last two decades the use of immediate loading has become a routine procedure in implantology, with special emphasis on areas of aesthetic commitment. The healing and the loading times have been significantly reduced (1). Implant stability is one of the main factors of success in Oral implantology (2). Especially in immediate loading procedures where it is a key factor (3). The implant stability is influenced by the quantity and quality of the bone, the implant design, and surgical technique employed (4) – among other parameters.

Emilio Rodriguez, DDS, is a graduate of Alfonso X el Sabio University School of Dentistry, Spain. He earned his Master degree in Periodontics and Oral Implantology from the University of León. Dr. Rodriguez received his PhD degree in Prosthodontics from the University of Alfonso X el Sabio. Dr. Rodríguez has been on staff at the Master program of Implantology and Prosthodontics at the University of Córdoba since 2015. Dr. Rodríguez publishes and lectures both nationally and internationally on topics related to dental implantology and implant prosthodontics and has been involved in research related to advanced digital implant impressions and CadCam materials.
